Think Like a Leaf – valuing our personal contribution in troubled times
Tuesday 01 December 2020 Via Zoom*
19:45 to 21:15 price £12 Workshop tutor: Milly Carmichael
We associate woodlands, forests and other natural ecosystems with growth, connection, adaptation and resilience, but often struggle to experience these in our own lives – on a personal level, in our societies and with regard to our uncertain and changing world.
The challenges facing the earth today can seem too enormous for any individual efforts to make a meaningful difference. So, in this interactive workshop we will explore the idea of ‘thinking like a leaf’ through principles derived from nature. We can learn from them in a real and practical way to see how it is the combined efforts of many individuals that makes lasting and meaningful change at a planetary level.
This workshop is relevant for all types of challenges:
- personal, both physical and psychological
- changing circumstances
- Covid-related issues
- worries about the state of the world
- concerns about the future
Come engaged, up for some thinking and prepared to join in with the group.
I can’t promise that we’ll all have found our niche by the end of the session but you will go away with some great ideas from nature’s 3.8 billion year old success story of thriving in times of change.
